How to use Full Screen and Zen Mode in Mardo
Use View → Enter Full Screen or press Control-Command-F to make a Mardo window full screen. Use View → Zen Mode or press Control-Command-Z to hide Mardo's optional controls. You can use either mode alone or use both together.
Enter Full Screen
Make the Mardo document window active.
Choose View → Enter Full Screen, or press Control-Command-F.
Use the same command to leave Full Screen.
Full Screen is the standard macOS window mode. Entering or leaving it does not turn Zen Mode on or off.
Enter Zen Mode
Make the document window active.
Choose View → Zen Mode, or press Control-Command-Z.
Use the same command again to leave Zen Mode.
Zen Mode applies only to that document window. New windows start outside Zen Mode, and Mardo does not remember Zen Mode as a global preference.
Choose what stays visible in Zen Mode
Open Mardo → Settings…, select Zen, and choose any controls you want Mardo to keep visible:
document toolbar;
selection bar;
token estimate;
construct controls; or
update notices.
These settings apply immediately to open Zen windows and to later Zen sessions. Find and Outline remain available on demand even when their ordinary controls are hidden.
If you cannot see how to leave Zen Mode
The View menu and Control-Command-Z shortcut remain available. Zen Mode does not hide macOS window controls, Full Screen controls, or safety-critical messages.
