How to change themes and text size in Mardo

Use the Appearance menu for document zoom and Mardo → Settings… → Appearance for the app's current theme and default editor text size. Zoom is bounded from 50% through 300%.

Change document zoom

Zoom changes the active document's layout. A saved document zoom remains authoritative when that document is reopened.

Change the current theme

  1. Choose Mardo → Settings… or press Command-,.

  2. Select Appearance.

  3. Choose a current theme.

Mardo includes MardoDark, MardoLight, GitHub Light, GitHub Dark, and FloofLogic. MardoDark/MardoLight and GitHub Light/Dark can follow the system appearance.

Create or import a custom theme

In Settings → Appearance, choose Themes…. You can duplicate a built-in starting point, edit it with a live preview, save and use it, rename it, import or export a .mardo-theme.json file, or delete an app-owned custom theme.

Imported theme files are copied into Mardo rather than watched. Deleting the active custom theme selects MardoDark first.

Text size versus interface size

Editor text size changes document text and layout. Interface Size changes titlebar and formatting controls, not document text, export geometry, or Markdown bytes.
